A very rare watch and very high quality timepiece by Cartier cased
in a genuine 20 dollar solid gold coin minted in 1911, the watch dates
to circa 1960, but is in excellent condition and working order and is
complete with its box. Measures 34.1mm in diameter, 3.6mm in depth, with
a total weight of 29.5g. The coin has very little wear, for such an old
piece, if you study it closely; there are a few tiny unnoticeable
surface marks to front and back. The watch hidden inside the case is
access by pressing the flush button on the rim of the coin (above the “E”
of LIBERTY), this springs the front cover open, so you can view the
dial, the watch casing is all solid 18 carat . The original Cartier
signed dial is clean and bright and has virtually no sign of ageing, if
you inspect it closely there are a few specks. The glass is clean and
unscratched. The superb and slim Cartier Inc signed movement in this
watch is of very high quality, a calibre 1003 stamped with the Geneva
seal of quality. I believe this was produced by Jaeger LeCoultre and was
also used by fine watchmakers such as Vacheron and Constantine and
Audemars Piguet in their ultra slim watches. It has 17 jewels and was
adjusted to 5 positions, heat, cold & Isochronism, keeps excellent
time, wound and set with the crown |

43.5g. The barrel, cap, and clip are all solid gold, with the cap and
barrel featuring a yellow & white gold basketweave design. Each
seperate piece of the pen is individually hallmarked, right down to the
clip. The hallmarks are very hard to see or photograph because French
gold hallmarks are very small. The rim of the cap is marked "Parker
- OR18cts". The body of the pen is marked "Cartier - 05651"
just above where it unscrews from the barrel. The inner body of the pen
carries the standard imprint of "Parker '51' - To fill press ribbed
bar firmly 4 times holding pen point down, wipe point with soft tissue.
