| This is a truly stunning vintage vase, circa late 1800's, designed
and signed by WILLIAM MOORCROFT as designer for JAS MACINTYRE.It is a
huge vase measuring 11 inches high of balluster form and 4 inches
diameter at the rim and 3 1/2 inches diameter at the base.It has Art
Nouveaux panels each containing bouquets of flowers which I think are
Cornflowers or Chrysanthemums. The painting is colourwashes of white and
tonal blues ranging from pale blue to deep cobalt. The pattern is
extensively tubelined. In stunning unblemished condition and I would say
that it is Mint apart from some absolutely tiny minor bits of tiny
crazing in a few places on the glaze which take a lot of finding and
three tiny hairlines on the glaze of about 1/4 inch each and at regular
spacing all on the inside of the bottom inside shoulder of the rim of
the base. Definitely no hairlines in the vase itself and rings soundly
when tapped.Backstamp is JAS.MACINTYRE & Co LTD BURSLEM ENGLAND

| A stunning piece of vintage Arts & Crafts pottery designed by
William Moorcroft and in the rare and sought-after Flamminian Ware range
as made for Liberty & Co. of London. This gorgeous vase stands 6.1"
high and measures approximately 5.4" in diameter at it's widest
point. It has a wonderful organic shape and the most stunning colours
with deep maroon-red and light turquoise prominent against the classic
mottled green glaze background. The three medallion-like motifs around
the vase each have a wonderful Art Nouveau heart-like leaf and seeds
design in French Blue and ultramarine on apple-green ground in a design
that has a Secessionist feel. The underside has full manufacturer's
marks. There is the green underglaze script signature of William
Moorcroft 'W.Moorcroft des.' and the red stamp 'MADE FOR LIBERTY &
Co. Rd.No.452777. The previous owner bought this piece at auction as in
mint condition but had been told that there may have been a small
professional restoration to a minor hairline crack at the rim at some
stage (under some of the turquoise blue glaze), though both myself and
the previous owner have failed to find any evidence of it with strong
magnifying lenses! I can see no chips, cracks or other problems anywhere
on the vase. Extremely close scrutiny revealed only one solitary 1mm
white glaze miss at the very base of the rim |

| a very rare example of the work of William Moorcroft which dates to
shortly after the opening of his factory in 1913. This is evidenced by
the impressed mark showing 'Moorcroft Burslem' which dates it to the
period 1913-16. This is a lovely example of William's Pansy design using
very fine tubelining to add the outline of the blossom before the colour
was applied. This rare piece is a matchstriker which held the matches in
the centre before striking them on the textured surface below the pansy
design. It is 4.5" across by 2.5" high. Condition. In very
good condition, having no chips, cracks or restoration. The base as
mentioned above shows the impressed 'Moorcroft Burslem' mark as well as
the design no.(?) M27. It also has the impressed number '2' |

| This stunning vase was produced by the world renowned and highly
collected Moorcroft factory in Stoke on Trent, England. It was designed
by the highly collected and world renowned head designer Rachel Bishop
and was designed in 2005 as a special commission for J Macintyre and Co.
With it's wonderful study of stylised flowers and foliage reminiscent of
earlier Moorcroft designs it is sure to be a highly sought after design.
It should be noted that this vase was only produced as a strict limited
edition of only 50 of which this is the original trial. This gives the
vase extra significance as it is a one off and unique and is marked as
such to the base. The vase has the added advantage of being marked with
the " ? " symbol which is becomind collectible in its own
right. The vase has been marked as a very slight second with a red dot,
but this as most collectors will know is a result of Moorcroft's
stringent control standards rather than a reflection on the quality of
the piece. It is in Excellent condition with No chips, cracks or
restoration |

| MOORCROFT Hidden Dreams Pencarrow Biscuit Barrel Trial. This
stunning biscuit barrel was produced by the world renowned and highly
collected Moorcroft factory in Stoke on Trent, England. It was designed
by the highly collected and world renowned Emma Bossons . With it's
wonderful vibrant floral design reminiscent of early Moorcroft patterns
it has fast become a highly sought after design. The item is in the
shape of a traditional Moorcroft shape with twin handles and handled lid
and was produced as part of the designers Hidden dreams collection. The
item was made as a numbered edition . However this has the added benefit
of being a trial design and is therefore a one off and highly
collectable. The vase has been marked as very slight imperfect with a
red dot, but this as most collectors will know is a result of
Moorcroft's stringent control standards rather than a reflection on the
quality of the piece. It is in Excellent condition with No chips, cracks
or restoration The underside of the lid has two very small underglaze
chips as shown which is almost certainly the reason for the seconds
mark. These ar barely noticeable and do not detract from what is a
special piece. |
