pen and ink drawing of highly finished biomorphic forms by
Picasso.The actual measurements are 28.9cm x 20.9cm. The title
attributed to this work is "Baigneuse Sur La Plage", signed
Picasso lower right and dated "2 Aout 1928 II. On the back of the
drawing there is a pen note that reads: "Dinard - Villa Les Roches-".
The condition is very good considering it's age, although there are some
visible age spots, foxing and light yellowing. This particular drawing
is no doubt one of the most gorgeous examples of Picasso's work of the
late 1920's and a rarity that rarely comes up for sale. Baigneuse Sur La
Plage comes with it's original Album A Dessin Stamp with the writing "Dinard,
2 Aout 1928". The number on the stamp refers to the unpaginated
sequence of sheets in each sketchbook. PROVENANCE: It was firstly owned
by an important and well documented individual in the Artist's life. In
1947, ownership was transferred to the Chief in charge of the olympic

Information : This Work is stamped signed with Picasso's signature stamp
at the lower right margin. it is also hand numbered in pencil "35/50"
at the lower left margin. The work is is dated in the plate "22.11.66".
This work was printed on the 22.11.1966 in a limited edition of only 50
impressions that were stamped signed and hand numbered. There were an
additional 15 epreuve d'artist numbered from in roman letters. This is
the first , original and only edition of this wonderful and powerful
etching of Picasso!!! All the edition was stamped signed and was never
hand signed. The works Picasso created in 1970-1972 pays once more
homage to the female sex, but with some unexpected accents. It is a
tender and voluptuous homage in which a touch of irony mingled with
respect and mischievousness is present. These are the master's last
works - series 156. The work appears in the complete catalogue of prints
of Picasso by George Bloch in this exact discription. Provenance :
