| Porcelain Bucket Shape Coffee Can was made at the Worcester Factory
during the Flight period and dates to 1783-8. It has the Worcester Blue
Crescent mark and the word "Flights" in Puce colour script.
The pattern is the "Queen Charlotte" or "Catherine Wheel"
pattern which is Iron Red and Gold on an underglaze Blue ground.
Unfortunately the can has a tension crack, probably caused by hot
liquid. This runs from the bottom of the can, across the bottom up one
side for about 2" and then turns and runs horizontally for about 4".
. The decoration is in very good order and the can displays well as the
faults are not really obvious from the outside, because of the heavy
pattern. Size: 3" in diameter and 3" high |
