|GOEBEL OLSZEWSKI "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" SET OF 3 All three
come with their original packaging. All three are in mint condition with
no chips or scratches or marks. "ALICE IN THE GARDEN" 670P,
TMK 2, SIGNED BY OLSZEWSKI UNDER HER SKIRT IN BACK. This is the first
limited edition figurine by Goebel Miniatures and production was limited
to an edition of 5000. In 1982, Miniature Collector magazine
commissioned Goebel Miniatures to produce an Alice in Wonderland
figurine. The logo of the magazine is Alice, and they wanted something
special to offer for sale to their readers to commemorate their fifth
anniversary. The blue of the dress was chosen to match the logo color
for the Miniature Collector Magazine. Robert Olszewski's inspiration for
this series was taken from the classic books by Lewis Carroll, Alice's
Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass which were
published in 1923. Bob purchased the books and drew his figures from the
words in those books: "Oh, tiger lily, I wish you could talk!"
The flower answered, "We can talk, when there is anybody worth
talking to." The figurine depicts that point in the story. "DOWN
THE RABBIT HOLE" 671P, TMK2, SIGNED BY OLSZEWSKI IN BACK UNDER THE
TREE. This was the second of three figurines in the "Alice in
Wonderland" Series. Production was limited to 5000. This figurine
depicts the point in the story where Alice is on the bank under a tree
when all of the sudden this rabbit runs by and dashes down the hole. "Oh
dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!" "THE CHESHIRE CAT" 672P,
TMK2, SIGNED BY OLSZEWSKI IN BACK AT THE BASE OF THE TREE. This was the
third of the three figurine in the "Alice in Wonderland"
Series. Production was limited to 5000. "The Cheshire Cat" was
carved from a photograph. Alice has been playing a competitive game of
croquet with the Queen and some of her subjects. During a break in the
action, Alice looks up and sees a large, grinning cheshire cate. "How
are you getting on?" inquires the cat. This figurine shows this
moment from the story. All three figurines come in their original box ,
with outer sleeve. All three are signed by Robert Olszewski. Contrary to
many of sellers of these three figurines, they are not from Disney's
Alice in Wonderland depiction of the story. Again, "Alice in the
Garden" was commissioned by the Miniature Collector magazine in
celebration of their 5th anniversary.

The cocker spaniel is a vintage peice marked with the famous Hummel
Goebel V with a bee inside it and underneath the V is Western Germany.
It also says by W Goebel, in the glass is 1957 and on the other side
Stae 21. On the dog itself it is signed Albert Staehle on the right back
