| 1940 HEUER 52649 Chronograph WWII. Valjoux 22. Serviced 100% all parts original 1940s Heuer Chronograph. The ORIGINAL NEVER restored dial is superb. This dial is untouched all the original radium luminous 1 to 12 index are original and match the 100% ORIGINAL hands luminous (Never re-applied RARE!) The steel hands are fantastic condition. The large for period 37mm stainless steel case is also in superb condition for 67 yr old. Has no dints or scratches. Of course this watch has some macro signs of wear as can be expected of such an original piece. However on the wrist to the naked eye this watch looks superb. The best thing about this watch though is its Valjoux cal.22 movement (this is the same movement as used by Patek & Rolex): The highly regarded calibre 22 movement was completely stripped, Ultra Sonic Chemical cleaned and then oiled and re-built. Grade A++ service. Comes with 1 year all mechanical parts guarantee. Has no water damage or metal corrosion. The movement is high finish with Geneve stripes and everything. Fully stamped Heuer on the bridge exactly as it should. Original throughout. | 1950 Heuer Datemaster steel. Automatic. Its condition is virtually flawless The thick case back is of the threaded, screw down variety and carries the wording externally “Water Resistant, Shock Protected, Antimagnetic”. Internally, the case back is covered by a decorative engine turned pearled pattern and signed “Heuer, Ed Heuer & Co SA, Swiss, Stainless Steel”, together with “Brev. 279361” ( Brevete is the French word for “patent”). , this dial can be seen to be virtually perfect, with no spotting or damage whatsoever. This item has never been restored and has not been touched since it left the Heuer factory in 1950. With a combination of gilt arrowhead batons and Arabic numerals, look of this dial is so typical of those designed in the years immediately following on from World War II. A single minute track runs around the edge of the dial, with the signature “Datemaster, Heuer, Automatic, Made in Switzerland” appearing above and below the dial centre point respectively. Below the Heuer shield emblem is the name of the retailer that supplied the watch when new. This unit was purchased from A. Schild of Grenchen in its most basic form as calibre 1361 and then rebuilt and finished to a sumptuous standard in Heuer’s workshops. The mechanism here is exactly the same unit that is also found in the earliest examples of Blancpain’s much sought after diving model the Fifty Fathoms. . Condition of this movement is literally almost perfect. Its rhodium plated mechanism gleams brightly like that in a brand new watch and is totally original in every respect, with no changed or replaced components whatsoever. The signature “Heuer, Ed. Heuer & Co, Swiss, Seventeen Jewels” is stated in gold on the rotor, with “AS 1361” stamped next to the regulator. | Heuer 3000 Automatic Chronograph Heuer PVD Chronograph from about 1979. This is the last Heuer Chronograph, the later versions of this watch were all Tag Heuer. The movement is an ETA 2892-2. This watch was recently serviced. It runs and keeps time and all chrono functions ooperate and return to zero. The PVD coated case shows the usual wear at the tips, but is still very presentable. The bezel ratchets properly and shows no unusual wear. The crystal is scratch free. The crown is also signed heuer, but the plating has come off of the top. | Heuer IFR dash-mounted 12 minute timer, REF # 542.838. It has a plastic case and fits in a quick release mounting plate. It also comes with it's original box and guarantee booklet. . On the works: "HEUER 7714" and "seven 7 jewels unadjusted swiss". On the inside of back cover is "HEUER SWISS" and 18.0736. On the mounting plate is 18.0737. The timer works intermittently, so it needs attention. There is a crack on the bezel at the pointer but it still turns well. At one time there was some glue on the back, so there is some surface irregularity. There are a few scratches on the mounting plate. The crystal has some light scratching. It is an automatic calendar watch – not quartz. The stainless steel case is in very good condition. The case has a blue, unidirectional rotating bezel. The screw down rear cover is marked with the Tag details and the Dive’s ‘helmet’ symbol. It is also marked with the model number WAB2011 and the serial number GJ5463. The case measures 43mm in diameter, 46mm in overall width to the end of the Tag signed crown, 48mm in overall length and 12mm deep. The overall length of the watch including the bracelet is variable between 190-196mm. There is also a ‘wet suit’ extension. The flat crystal watch glass is clear and unmarked.
