| limited edition elephant ark set from 1992. Steiff designed and
built its first Noah's Ark in 1913 for trade fairs and exhibitions. To
make these also available to Steiff collectors and animal lovers, Steiff
produced, in 1992, these beautiful two elephants in a wicker ark. There
are two mohair elephants one 17 cm (height - so they look even bigger
than a bear of this height) the other female is 15cm sitting on a wicker
"boat". This was a limited edition of 8,000 EAN 038303 and
this set is number 2939. In as new condition with certificate and
original box. Each elephant has white tag and black lettering denoting
limited edition and their issue number and their foot tags are still
attached. Also each elephant has a porcelain medallion reading 'Arche
Steiff '( Steiff Ark). |

Laundry Lil is a most adorable and hardworking little Geman Steiff
mask bear c.1960s, with earbutton. She loves washing, and brings her own
metal washtub, box of soap powder, washboard and embroidered cloth
depicting a young girl doing the laundry. Lil is all original and in
great condition having kept most of her caramel mohair. She's 9 inches
tall and fully-jointed, with brown-painted glass eyes and a
brown-stitched nose and mouth. Filled with woodwool, she has plush pads
and a non-working squeaker, and is wearing her own cotton headscarf and
pinny, complete with miniature wooden pegs for hanging out her washing.

| Old Well-Loved Steiff Fox Approx. 7" from tip of front legs to
top of head x 10" from tip of nose to base of tail. Fully Jointed
Circa 1910 - 1930, Underscored Button He was originally made of
redish-brown and white mohair but it is almost completely missing with
the exception of his tail and edges of ears. Excelsior stuffing and
glass eyes. Well-worn condition, missing almost all his fur. There are a
few minor holes and patches on both front feet (He had these patches
when I bought him so I'm not sure what is underneath but it is probably
where the wire in his legs has poked through). In general he seems
sturdy. I do not see any evidence of dry rot. His very tiny button does
have a bit of rust. Non-functioning squeaker In spite of his condition
he is still a cute old Steiff piece with a lot of character and
personality. He comes with his own Handmade sweater. |

| Steiff circa 1909 somersault tumbling bear in used and worn, old
condition (tumbling mechanism no longer working). Teddy is a cute small
size- about 9.5". Fully jointed, shoe button eyes, remnant brown
thread nose, and brown thread claws (a few lacking). Teddy retains its
FF underscored button in ear (button has some rust on it, but you can
still see the writing). There is mohair loss, and at the front of the
bear is a cut in the fabric and some stitching. Paw pads are replaced.
All repairs appear to be quite early. Teddy comes dressed in a nice red
and black overjacket |

magnificent bear stands thirteen inches high and retains his original
Steiff button (6mm) in his ear, but sadly has lost most of his brown
twisted floss nose and claws. Whilst being five jointed, he also retains
the original felt pads underneath the later ones and proudly displays
the typical Steiff hump back, elongated limbs and feet that measure a
great three inches long! Overall an outstanding front stitched, steiff
